Window Sash Repairs
Sashes for windows must be inspected regularly for signs of mold, mildew, and damage. If you catch these issues early, you can save money on future repairs.
The sash is an interior framing that moves vertically upwards or downwards in windows that are open. This article will show you how to perform simple sash repairs.
Weather Stripping
Wood window sashes add an elegant look to your home. When properly maintained, can last for a long time. However, they can be damaged or degrade over time due to exposure to elements and wear and tear. The first step for repair sash windows is to address weather stripping, which is found on both the sash and frame. It can cause drafts if it's worn or loose. Sash Weights

To replace sash cords, the first step is to remove the access panels from the jambs. They are typically nailed or screwed in and will require to be removed or relocated. After you have removed the access panel, you can begin to work on the sash. Make the small parting beads (also called "tie rails") out of their grooves using flat bar or chisel.
